"I was born in a small town where my mother shocked her doctor after giving birth to me. He measured me at 24 inches long. Most of that length was in my legs. By the 4th grade I was almost 6ft and already wearing a size 10 shoe. Trying to shop for a 9 year old in the women's shoe sizes was tough. Every dress shoe my mother found for me had a high heel.
